Oman Secrets – operating under Origins Branding
1. Company information
Oman Secrets is a travel advisory and trip-planning service, registered as a sole proprietorship under Origins Branding, with its registered office at Barkasstraat 41, 1086 VJ Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
We act with the utmost care but accept liability only to the extent required or permitted by law.
2. Scope
2.1. These General Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, quotations, agreements, bookings and communications from Oman Secrets, regardless of the channel (including WhatsApp, email, or website).
2.2. By confirming a booking, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
2.3. Deviations or additions are valid only if confirmed in writing by Oman Secrets.
2.4. The terms of Oman Secrets shall prevail over any terms used by third parties or customers.
3. Services and role of Oman Secrets
3.1. Oman Secrets provides tailor-made travel experiences in Oman, including:
- Personal itinerary design and route development
- Intermediation for accommodation, transport, guides, and activities
- Organisation of self-drive and guided tours
- Optional assistance with booking flights through third parties
3.2. Oman Secrets always acts as an intermediary between the traveller and local service providers (such as hotels, carriers, and guides). We are not the performing party.
3.3. We work exclusively with carefully selected local partners with proven reliability and compliance with local safety and quality standards. Nevertheless, these parties remain independently responsible for delivering their services.
3.4. Oman Secrets accepts no liability for errors, omissions, delays, cancellations, or shortcomings by such third parties.
3.5. If Oman Secrets assists with flight bookings, this is solely as a courtesy service. The air carriage agreement is concluded directly between the customer and the airline. The customer retains any rights directly against the airline under applicable laws and regulations, including Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 on passenger rights.
4. Booking process & payment
4.1. A booking is concluded once Oman Secrets has sent a written or electronic confirmation (via email or WhatsApp).
4.2. Deposit: A deposit is required upon booking, calculated based on direct costs needed to secure reservations with local partners.
4.3. Final payment: The remaining balance must be received in full no later than 4 weeks (28 days) prior to departure.
4.4. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, the full amount is due immediately.
4.5. In case of late payment, Oman Secrets may cancel the trip without refund of amounts already paid.
4.6. In the event of late or incomplete payment, Oman Secrets is entitled to suspend performance of its services in whole or in part until full payment is received. Oman Secrets is not liable for any consequences or damages arising from such suspension.
5. Cancellation & refunds
Cancellation by the customer
5.1. Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or WhatsApp) and are only valid after written acknowledgement by Oman Secrets.
5.2. Within 48 hours of booking confirmation, cancellation is free of charge.
5.3. After this reflection period, the following fees apply:

| Between 30 and 14 days before departure | 50% of the total trip price |
| Within 14 days before departure | 100% of the total trip price |
5.4. Oman Secrets will make reasonable efforts to obtain any refunds from local partners, but is not obliged to do so. Only amounts actually returned by third parties can be refunded.
5.5. Travellers are responsible for arranging appropriate cancellation insurance.
Cancellation by Oman Secrets
5.6. If a trip is cancelled due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances (such as natural disasters, political unrest, weather conditions, or government measures), Oman Secrets will endeavour to reschedule. Refunds are made only to the extent local partners return funds.
6. Changes & force majeure
6.1. Changes by the customer: Requests must be submitted in writing, are subject to availability, and may incur additional costs.
6.2. Changes by third parties or due to force majeure: In unforeseen circumstances—e.g., weather changes, road or hotel closures, or safety risks—Oman Secrets may adjust the trip or parts thereof. We will strive to offer a reasonable alternative but accept no liability for resulting damages or costs.
6.3. Force majeure includes, without limitation: natural disasters, pandemics, war, riots, strikes, fire, government measures, and transport delays. In case of force majeure, Oman Secrets is not obliged to provide refunds or compensation. Customers should have suitable travel insurance.
7. Liability & indemnity
7.1. Oman Secrets is only liable for damage directly resulting from intent or gross negligence.
7.2. In all cases, liability is limited to the amount paid for the trip, and solely pro rata to the objectively deficient portion, if any.
7.3. Oman Secrets is not liable for:
- Errors, shortcomings, or omissions of third parties (including local partners or airlines)
- Delays, overbookings, changes, or cancellations of flights, even if assisted by Oman Secrets
- Accidents, illness, injury, loss, damage, or theft during the trip
- Consequential loss, loss of holiday enjoyment, loss of profit, or non-pecuniary damage
7.4. The traveller shall indemnify Oman Secrets against any third-party claims arising from the traveller’s conduct or negligence during the trip.
7.5. If unfounded claims, complaints, or legal actions are brought against Oman Secrets by or on behalf of the customer, all reasonable legal defence costs (including correspondence) shall be borne by the customer.
8. Traveller obligations
- Valid travel documents (passport, visa, driver’s licence, vaccinations)
- Timely presence at meeting points and appointments
- Adequate travel and cancellation insurance
- Physical fitness appropriate to the chosen trip
Participation in adventurous activities (such as hikes, wadis, canyoning, or off-road tours) is entirely at one’s own risk. Oman Secrets and its partners are not liable for injury or material damage arising therefrom.
9. Third parties & local operators
9.1. Bookings with local providers are subject to their own terms & conditions.
9.2. Oman Secrets is not a party to the contract between the customer and the local operator and is not responsible for the performance or quality of services by third parties.
9.3. Complaints or damage must be reported directly to the relevant provider. If Oman Secrets assists, this is as a courtesy and without any liability.
9.4. Oman Secrets is not responsible for any printing, typographical, programming or communication errors, nor for discrepancies between published information (such as descriptions, photos or other third-party imagery) and the actual situation on site. All information is compiled with care and serves illustrative purposes only.
10. Travel documents, health & risks
10.1. Customers are solely responsible for holding valid passports, visas, and any required vaccinations.
10.2. Oman Secrets accepts no liability for refusal of entry to a country or delays caused by missing or invalid documents.
11. Intellectual property & communications
11.1. All texts, photos, designs, videos, and other materials on the website or social channels of Oman Secrets remain the intellectual property of Oman Secrets.
11.2. Any use or reproduction without prior written consent is prohibited.
11.3. Official communications may take place via email or WhatsApp; messages are deemed received only after acknowledgment by Oman Secrets.
12. Privacy
12.1. Oman Secrets processes personal data solely to perform bookings and provide travel-related services.
12.2. Data will not be sold or shared with third parties, except where necessary to perform the booked trip.
12.3. Customers have the right to access, rectify, and delete their personal data.
13. Governing law & disputes
13.1. These Terms are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
13.2. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
13.3. Oman Secrets may propose mediation to settle a dispute amicably, without obligation.
14. VZR Garant
In order to meet its statutory obligation to provide a guarantee, Oman Secrets makes use of the guarantee scheme provided by VZR Garant (www.vzr-garant.nl/en). You can check that this is the case by visiting VZR Garant’s website and verifying that the organisation is listed as a participant. VZR Garant’s guarantee applies within the limits of its Guarantee Scheme (which can be found on VZR Garant’s website). The Guarantee Scheme specifies the exact (travel) offering to which VZR Garant’s guarantee applies and what the guarantee entails. If services are not provided due to the financial insolvency of Oman Secrets, you can contact VZR Garant, which has its offices at Torenallee 20, 5617 BC Eindhoven, Netherlands, by sending an email to info@vzr-garant.nl or calling +31 (0)85 13 07 630.
15. Final provisions
15.1. If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
15.2. Only the Dutch version is legally binding; translations are for convenience.
15.3. The most recent version published on www.omansecrets.com applies at all times.
